Description
Coming from an artistic background, she attended Walsall Art College after leaving teaching.
She was also a Tutor of Garden Design at Winterbourne University of Birmingham for 10 years. She became West Midlands Gardener of the year in 1990. This resulted in joining the NGS and opening her garden for 25 years, raising a considerable amount of money for charity.
This became the influence for subject matters in Fine Art, most of the subjects growing in the garden. She also held a National Plant Collection for many years and observation of these plants was acute.
Teaching Creative Arts involved many subjects to refer to.
Joining RBSA as a Friend in 2006 led to selection to the Society in 2015.
In recent years she has joined Studio 99Printmakers.
She is also an elected member of BWS and BAC and a committee member of WSA.
She has taken part in many Open Exhibitions i.e. Keele University, 3 Counties Open, RBSA etc, and at a Chateau in Paris.
Her work has been sold nationally and internationally.
