My aim was to create an unusual view of the Ironbridge.
I was interested in making the bridge less solid and more poetic. I also set myself the task to make the solid object look flexible.
I achieved this by using the flow of the River Severn to distort the rigid iron framework of the bridge and I introduced the elegant white swan to add harmony to the scene.
The components of the bridge are blended together with the ever changing patterns in the reflections on the water.
The beak of the swan was an ideal element to add a tiny, but distinct splash of colour.
