Jenny Gunning Trees at Sunrise 2, Ironbridge, Aquatint Etching

This is a double drop Aquatint Etching. Both surfaces have been printed in the same place on the paper to get this beautiful effect. Jenny ‘knocks’ the second plate off a little to get the white showing on some of the tree branches which makes a gorgeous effect.

This double drop Aquatint Etching is printed onto Somerset Satin 300gsm paper with Ironbridge Fine Arts own Ink using Jenny’s Gunning Etching press in her lovely studio in Ironbridge.
