“I spent most of my childhood and early adulthood living in Cornwall (Mawgan Porth, St. Mawgan, Truro and Mousehole).  The rugged beauty of the north Cornwall coast and the ever changing nature of the sea and beaches I found endlessly fascinating.”

“Upon retiring from a career in nursing I decided to pursue my interest in art. As a consequence I studied  Art History, attaining a BA (Hons) degree.  I then attended classes in drawing and painting under the tutorage of the professional artist Robert Guy for three years where I developed a fondness for painting with pastels. The tactile nature of pastel painting allows me to identify closely with the subject matter.”

“I wanted to capture the essence if Ironbridge by depicting the Church, the row of old houses along side the river Severn and the famous 18th century Ironbridge in the distance”.
