Description
Nathalie Pymm is a mixed media artist and printmaker working from her studio in Buckinghamshire. “I’ve always had a passion for art and so thankful to be able to spend my days working on my latest lino cut, surrounded by my printmaking inks and tools of the trade – especially my wonderful No. 2 Gunning etching press! I have a big smile on my face just walking to my studio in the mornings! My lino prints are inspired by trips to Cornwall – especially Port Isaac, a little fishing village in the North of Cornwall. I also have a love of architecture, my pets, frogs, elephants, still life, and anything that catches my eye. I love to work on lino reduction prints ( using more than one colour on the same lino piece by reducing the lino after each colour), and also finding lovely handmade paper/tissue paper to use as chine collee for my one colour lino prints.”
Nathalie has exhibited at the Mall Galleries and also the ING Discerning Eye exhibition. “I’ve also had the pleasure of exhibiting in St. Ives, Cornwall and Bath as well as taking part in local art exhibitions throughout Buckinghamshire. I am thrilled to be showing my linocut prints at Ironbridge Fine Arts Gallery where I first had a go on my etching press under the fabulous guidance of Jenny Gunning. I will be showing my Cornish lino reduction prints, as well as my lovely frog and elephants as well as a few still life reduction prints.”
