Severn Snake by Kate Wooldridge

Born in Wolverhampton, moved to Shropshire in mid-80’s…went to boarding school, Denstone College in Uttoxeter then to Agricultural College in Lincolnshire.  Step-Father gave me a camera to use when I was a child and hasn’t stopped taking pictures since…I like to capture pictures that are not posed or set up as such…light is very important and plays a big part in my pictures.  Some photographers I follow are Joe McNally and Chase Jarvis and Ian Ruhter.  I am constantly looking at different methods and ways of taking pictures…I am constantly learning.  I have recently become a remote pilot and I now fly my drone everywhere, here in the UK and abroad – recently in Spain, Thailand, and France.  Having an eye in the sky unleashed more photography passion as some of the pictures from above are breathtaking. You really do see the world from a different perspective.  This is my first exhibition and one I am very very excited about.
