Linda’s passion for painting began in her teenage years and has since become a compulsion to capture the mood, atmosphere, and colors of the landscapes that surround her. Her use of texture and rich colors draws you in, allowing you to experience the power of the waves crashing against the shore or the peacefulness of the forest, making you feel as though you are right there with her.
I was born in Ironbridge and have been lucky to live in this beautiful county all of my life. However an even greater inspiration is the majestic scenery of North Wales and the Lake District.
It was in my teenage years that I first started painting and it completely changed the way I viewed the world around me.
It soon became a compulsion to capture the mood, atmosphere and colours of the surrounding landscapes.
I paint mainly in acrylics but in the past I have used water colours.
Autumn and winter walks in Wales have inspired my latest work, from the storm and drama of the seas, to the peaceful walks through the woodland.
I like to paint using texture and rich colours, I want people to be drawn into my work and to experience the power of the waves or the peace and solitude of the forests so they can almost hear the sound of the leaves crunching beneath their feet.
