Linda’s prints and paintings are expressions of joy and pleasure. She particularly loves exploring the shapes, forms, colours and textures of landscape and seascape.
She often sketches outside then works with these drawings, together with her memories and the sensations of that day, to create a finished piece of work in her studio.
‘I love printmaking. My first experience of etching was in an inspirational class run by Dave Gunning about 28 years ago. I eventually managed to purchase my own press and have been delighted to use a Gunning Press happily for many years.’
Having qualified with a BA Hons in Printmaking and an MA Hons in History of Art, Linda taught for many years in further education. In 2018 Linda was elected Associate Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. In 2017 she had an etching accepted into the Victoria and Albert Museum’s collection in London.
