Austė Skardžiukaitė-Kabašinskienė

We are thrilled to announce that Auste will be exhibiting with us in our Spring Exhibition 2026 at Ironbridge Fine Arts. Auste’s work is a profound exploration of drawing as a means of understanding—an intimate process that invites both artist and viewer to see beyond the surface of things. For Auste, drawing is not simply a skill but a way of perceiving the world more deeply; it is a method of discovery, allowing access to inner landscapes and unspoken experiences. Her practice reminds us that to draw is to know, to observe, and ultimately to connect.

Rooted in themes of the inner world, memory, and the interplay of opposites, Auste’s artwork resonates with quiet intensity. The human body and the natural world serve as recurring symbols within her compositions, grounding abstract ideas in familiar forms. Her aim is not only to present a visual narrative but to evoke moments of emotional recognition—allowing the viewer to remember, feel, or even recreate moments of their own. We are honoured to showcase her powerful and poetic work, which so beautifully aligns with our commitment to presenting art that engages both the heart and the mind.
