Level 1 – Museum Level (Purist)
The best of the best. Of course, not confined strictly to museums, but it gives protection for up to 35 years. If your piece has potential historical value, then this is for you. Ensuring valuable artwork remains in first-class condition, you can be assured that your artwork is thoroughly preserved. With different glazing options available to suit, we can provide a top-quality solution to suit you. For more information on our museum-level framing, please click here.
Level 2 – Conservation (High level)
Offering protection for up to 20 years, there is a noticeable difference in protection between Level 3 (Commended) framing and level 2 (Conservation) framing. At any time within the 20 years, the framing process can be reversed, returning the artwork to its former state. We use expert materials, including glazing with a UV filter, to give your artwork the ultimate protection. Conservation level framing protects a wide range of things that could cause damage to your piece. For more information, please click here.
Level 3 – Commended (Mid-Level)
The lowest option of framing we offer at Ironbridge Fine Arts is the 3rd Level known as ‘Commended level’. This choice is suitable for you if your artwork is of limited to moderate sentimental/commercial value, however, visual appearance is still in the utmost importance. Level 3 allows for a larger amount of choice for colours of mountboards but is not recommended for limited edition prints or collectable pieces of art; these should ideally be framed to either Level 1 or 2. This type of framing is not fully reversible (unlike alternatives), you should think carefully before choosing this level of framing. For more information, please click here.
We would suggest booking a consultation at our Gallery in Ironbridge, Shropshire, to discuss your Artwork and any ideas you have and ensure we both beautifully enhance and suitably protect it. Our Studio is easily accessible from Telford, Wolverhampton, and Shrewsbury via the M54.
