What are the Benefits of creating a Limited Edition Print Run and what should you expect?

Creating an Original piece of Artwork can take hours, days, weeks and sometimes years and often Artists are unwilling to part with their original yet have customers that would love to purchase it. This is where high-resolution Scanning and Giclee Printing provides the perfect answer, allowing you to create a Limited Edition Print Run and hold onto your original!

A high-resolution scan will capture full detail, texture and colour of your original piece of Artwork. By using high-end equipment, including a self-calibrating colour matching monitor, the Artist can see exactly how the piece of Artwork will print onto our special range of Fine Art Papers and Canvas prior to printing and our colour matching is second to none allowing the closest reproduction possible.

As an Artist it is so important you retain full copyright of your image. We simply provide you with a Tiff and Jpeg file of your Artwork. The large Tiff file is an uncompressed file suitable for digital editing and reproductions whilst the Jpeg file is a smaller compressed file suitable for use on emails, website etc. If you would like this in any other format, just let us know and we can accommodate.

Next is the choice of a suitable medium to print onto… Choose Archival Cotton Core Medium as well as pigments that are lightfast, stable and printed to the highest quality. As a Fine Art Trade Guild Art Sure Printer we ensure we meet these high standards to produce the best prints possible…

• Lightfastness of finished print- Having Blue Wood scale in all areas of the print of 6 ensuring the Artwork will not fade for a minimum of 25 years
• PH Level between 7-9 to ensure paper will not deteriorate and discolour
• The substrate must be over 250gsm
• Original Approved Print manufacturer Inks must be used
• All substrates must on the approved materials list provided by the be approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild that has been tested in a UKAS Laboratory to ensure they meet the above criteria.
