We are excited to welcome back Rob Leckey RBSA for a new exhibition at Ironbridge Fine Arts, showcasing his vibrant and innovative mixed-media works. Known for his unique approach, Rob combines acrylic paints, ink, collage, and found materials, layering his compositions with elements like tissue paper, newsprint, and magazine illustrations. He adds depth and texture with oil and chalk pastels, creating pieces that are rich in both detail and spontaneity.
Rob’s work is driven by a passion for experimentation, where the process itself becomes as important as the final piece. His subjects—boats, harbors, and landscapes from Shropshire, Scotland, Wales, and urban townscapes—serve as starting points, but his true focus lies in the unpredictable beauty that emerges through the materials and techniques he uses. His impressionistic style captures the essence of these scenes in a way that is both dynamic and unique.
