Our Current Exhibition, running from the 1st March through till the 31st May features John Hatfield and Mark-Whit as well as new works by Jenny Gunning and Dave Gunning.
“Mark Whit works predominantly in landscapes based around the Shropshire, Wales and Wolverhampton area. His main subject is atmosphere and how conditions can affect a certain landscape. Although his paintings may begin as a depiction of a certain landscape they frequently become substantially different as they are developed in the studio and become a “feel” rather than an exact representation.”
“John Hatfield is a self-taught British painter who captures the human landscape in its abandon; flexing the bones and dropping the sinews of potent body landmarks. Painting spontaneously, he draws on the natural forms and free-movement to present a life that’s unified, powerful and dynamic; even in its quiescence.”
