Future exhibitions in 2019…..Printmaker Viv Spencer will be displaying her beautiful Etchings in our Winter Exhibition
As soon as we saw Viv Spencers work we were intrigued and excited with her amazing use of colour, texture and tone. Here Vivienne tells us more about herself and her work….
“I took early retirement from being a teacher of art and photography last summer and we now live in Cornwall, where I have a studio near Penzance and I’m currently studying for a Masters in Printmaking at Plymouth College of Art. In 2019 I will be participating in ‘Open Studios Cornwall’ in May. I like experimenting with different printmaking processes to come up with original solutions, digital and traditional and I’m a member of the newly formed Penzance Studios organisation.”
“I don’t work solely in any one printmaking process as I enjoy many – collagraphs, monoprints and etching along with digital printmaking and alternative processes such as gum bichromate and cyanotypes. I entered several digital prints into the RE Masters competition last Autumn and one was selected and hung. I’m really enjoying studying for the MA in printmaking at Plymouth and I’m looking forward to showcasing my work at the gallery from December!”
