One of our favorite frame combinations which looks absolutely incredible.
Step 1
We photographed the bayonet and sheath and imported the shape into our Gunnar Software. We then used the photograph to create a custom shaped aperture following the actual curves of the items. We created a double mount with Spacers between mount layers to create depth and surround the Artefacts. The mounts used were Conservation level Rain Shimmer S8651 top mount with a conservation level Baghdad Brown S8007.
Step 2
Both Artifacts were attached to Conservation level Rain Shimmer S8651 using a clear wire which ensured they are preserved in their current condition and framing is completely reversible.
Step 3
We used a total of 5 different frames joined together from the Larson-Juhl Aged Steel Collection to create texture and depth both inside and outside the central frame. Moudings used were Aged Steel Anvil II 462620, Aged Steel Anvil II 292630, Aged Steel Anvil I 291620, and Aged Steel Anvil I 288620
Step 4
We finished with AR99 Invisible Art Glass to protect from UV Rays as well as give increased clarity and less than 1% reflection. You can’t tell there is any glass on it which really allows you to focus on what’s important!
Step 5
Assembly, Tape, and Cord and see our customers smiling face!
