Being a framer comes with many amazing privileges, one of which is seeing a huge array of Artwork, from Picasso and Lawry to Damien Hirst, Norman Ackroyd, Tracey Emin as well as new and emerging Artists from all around the world.
A job that we have just completed is the framing of two original posters from The Coalbrookdale Company that give a detailed account of over 300 years of Iron Production within the Ironbridge Gorge.
Choosing the correct frame and specialist glazing was important to not only preserve this piece of history in its current state but also to present the work to its best potential. The frame chosen was from Larson-Juhl’s Sophia Collection. This beautiful hand finished moulding comes in an Iron Black finish that perfectly sets of the writing whilst also capturing the essence of the Artwork and echoing the Ironwork theme.
To ensure visual clarity and UV protection an Invisible ArtGlass was chosen to give the piece an incredible non-reflective finish.
With the pride of working on two pieces of local history, an extremely happy customer, and beautifully framed Artwork, what more could we ask for!
