To help you choose the right glass to suit your Artwork we wanted to give you an insight into our amazing Speciality Glass Options
This is a cost-effective glass that blocks out 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting your Artwork from UV damage helping to prevent fading and damage to Artwork composition. There is a reflection on this Glass so we would recommend avoiding this if Artwork will be in a room with bright lights or sunlight as it will not give you the best view of your Artwork.
In our Ironbridge Gallery, we have a display case that shows Invisible Glass compared to the Standard Glass. Every day, without fail, we have customers comment on how incredible the Invisible Glass is because you can’t even see its there! Available in 2mm and 3mm thickness, this glass blocks out 70% of UV Rays, has less than 1% light reflection as well as maximum optical clarity to enhance colour and texture of Artwork.
UV Rays are responsible for causing irreversible damage not only fading your beautiful Artwork but also breaking down the chemical composition of the Artwork that can cause the paper to become brittle and weak. To give your Artwork the best level of protection is our Artglass UV99 Invisible Artglass. As well as blocking out 99% of UV Rays this gives less than 1% light reflection and gives maximum optical clarity to enhance colour and texture of Artwork.
For larger pieces of Artwork, this 4.4mm laminate is made of two panes of glass bonded by a polyvinyl butyral layer that stops the glass from shattering when broken. In addition to this glass being safety conscious you also get all the benefits of Artglass UV99 Invisible glass; blocking out 99% of UV Rays, less than 1% light reflection and gives maximum optical clarity to enhance texture and colour of Artwork.
