Environmentally friendly
Our suppliers use sustainable sources for the materials they provide us from our mouldings, mount board and sundries.
The mount board is manufacture in the U.K, all the wood pulp in the board is taken from sustainable sourced where there are strict forest management regulations. The pulp is mainly brought from Scandinavia and small proportion from North America and Canada.
The standard board core, making up 80% of the board is mechanically pulped which means the majority of the tree trunk can be used so there is much less waste. In our higher grades, the pulps used are increasingly Total Chlorine free (TCF) pulps in the drive to introduce more ranges of papers of good environmental pedigree.
Our mouldings are sourced world wide and our suppliers have assured us that all timber is sourced from forests, which operate in accordance with the principles of good forest management. A large percentage of timber used is produced in cooperation with industrial forest plantation.
As we continue to expand our business we will no doubt encounter questionable suppliers and as part of our corporate respoinsibility will will advise you when and if we encounter issues.
